In the Centre

On this page you will find information about the 22 July Centre's educational offers. You can also book time for one of our educational programs.

Welcome to the 22 July Centre!

The main target group for the 22 July Centre consists of all pupils from 8th grade up to the end of upper secondary school, but other groups are also warmly welcome!

We recommend that both preparatory and follow-up work be undertaken in association with a visit to the 22 July Centre. All educational programs include an introduction to the sequence of events on 22 July, an exhibition walk-through and an introduction to and a discussion of the terrorist’s objectives, motives and ideology, in addition to the content of the specific teaching material chosen for the visit.

All of our educational programs are free of charge.

Preparative work

We recommend all classes visiting the centre to do some preparative work. Go to "In the classroom" to find films, the timeline and teaching lessons.

Visitor guidelines

  • Put your phone on mute.
  • It's not allowed to take photos in the room of remembrance, or of the films in the exhibition. In the other rooms you may take photos, but mind the other visitors.
  • Walk calmly in the exhibition.
  • Do not lean on to the exhibition diplays.
  • It is not permitted with food and drinks in the exhibition areas.
  • If you need to exit the centre during an organised visit, confer with your teacher.
  • Consider the other visitors in the centre, amongst them are some times personally affected and berieved after 22 July, behave respectfully.

We recommend all schoolclasses who visit to follow up the teaching afterwards. Talk about what you've learned og follow up with more teaching lessons, for example those avaliable on the page "In the classroom".
